This is my stand off 1/12 scale P-51D Mustang. Its wing & tail surfaces are covered with clear Monokote and the fuselage was finished with Finish Cure Epoxy. It was painted with Coverite 21st Century spray paint and airbrushed with Testros & Model Mastors enamel paints. Panel lines were drawn on using a drafting pen and the entire model was then sprayed with LustreKote flat clear. I’ve only tried to fly it twice and it kept snapping to the right on the hand launch. The fuselage split up the side a bit and I got discouraged and just hung the plane up for the time being but now with how far electric’s have come I will probably try and convert sooner or later and actually try and get it to fly.

It’s probably one of the nicest planes I’ve ever built and the pictures don’t do it justice.

I did a red rudder as just a little homage to the Tuskegee air man.

I even added a little gun detail.
