3″ Swimbait

This is a custom 2.5″ Swimbait body I made to go with the custom Swimbait Jig Heads I made before.

I designed the mold for this one a little different. I rotated the body 90° in the mold so dual color laminate could be easily shot with a blending block.  (This mold does need to be oiled with worm oil for the tiny fins to release.)

This is an example of a duel color laminate shot with this mold.

This is a Silver (top) and White (bottom) version of a dual color laminate and the highlight like fins and lateral lines were then painted.

Of course single colors can also be shot in the same mold.  There is a lateral line designed into the mold but it’s right on the mold split so it comes out a little rough.

I also designed a more tradition single color mold where the body is split down the middle but I haven’t tried printing it yet.
