Custom Lure Painting

After learning airbrushing on all my 3D printed lures I figured I’d try buying some unpainted blanks to practice on. That way if I screw them up I’m only out a buck or two instead a lot of time.  This first one is a Bluegill Swim Bait which I found on Amazon.

And here it is after some airbrushing and a little hand detail. I am very happy with how this come out.

The before of a Rattle Trap type lure.

…and the after in my favorite yellow Perch pattern.

I must be doing something right because it works.

These next few were all done in Pearl paints so they look a lot better in the Sun light then they do in these photos.

Here I did a typical Shad Pattern

A Largemouth Bass Pattern.

A simple Yellow Pattern

And a simple Blue pattern.

More to come…… (sooner or later)
