Paint Shaker Attachment

This is a quick paint shaker attachment that I designed that clips onto the Shaker Vibration Table I made.  It quickly just clamps onto the top of the table and can be quickly removed.  The speed of the table can be adjusted to vary the shake and vibration of the paint container.

The design was done in Solidworks.

With the exception of a few pieces of hardware the whole thing was 3D printed and basically consist of two combined clamps.

The table clamp was made from a long 1/4-20″ bolt and nut. The nut just slides into the bottom of the main piece.

The paint bottle clamp was designed to be 3D printed.

The front bottle clamp piece loosely mounts to the printed screw with a simple 6-32″ screw that bottoms out into a heat set insert that is set into the end of the printed screw part. This allows the 6-32 screw to spin in the part while the clamp face moves back and forth.

The table clamp pieces have foam pieces double sided taped to them so provide a soft mount to the table surface.

The finished paint shaker assembly is placed onto the Shaker Table and the table clamp is tightened to secure the paint shaker attachment to the shaker table.

Here it is attached to the table ready to shake up some paints.

The paint shaker was specifically designed to fit Createx Colors brand bottles and craft type paints…

… but it also was designed to fit smaller Com-Art bottles as well.

Here it is in action hopefully it doesn’t shake up the paint to much and cause bubbles.  The shaker assembly can be placed on different offsets on the table though to get different shaking patterns.
